The British Ironworks Centre Review!

We took a trip to The British Ironworks Centre last week, and we really enjoyed it. Set in a large area near Oswestry it offers hundreds of sculptures, a café and some shops, a childrens play area and was very tidy with good information set out as well. Staff were polite and friendly and it was a very good experience over all. Recommended!

The British Ironworks Centre is a great day out – reasonably priced, lots to see and is educational. A lot of walking is pretty much the only downside, but if you take your time and the weather is alright it is fun. Decent café as well as you cannot take picnics!

Exhibits on show

They were revamping the area a bit when we visited but it didn't impact the sculptures much. Lots of variety with clear info on each sculpture. Very educational

We enjoyed the variety, the sculptures and our meal there was also reasonably priced with decent portion sizes. The café did get very busy though. Childrens play area as well to keep them happy!

Plenty to do and see

Decent Prices both entrance and café

Very clean and tidy – probably because no picnics are allowed!

Cons

Cannot take your own food & drink

It is a large area – lots of walking though buggies are available

Out in the open – bad weather would ruin the day
