2026 brings the 5th film in the Toy Story franchise, and this one shows off something that is a part of parenting and kids lives right now – tech and screen time. It shows Bonnie struggling to make friends and then her parents decide to get her a LillyPad to help her, with all the consequences that brings. Jessie decides to give Woody a call, and he answers her call and gets the band back together again!
So what did I think? Well I enjoyed it, but probably not as much as the previous 4 episodes. Nothing wrong with the film, just I didn’t get that great film vibe, just a good film vibe. Difficult to say why, but cinema has shall we say moved on a bit since Toy Story came about, and whilst there is nothing wrong with it, I was just left wanting a bit more…

Story is pretty good and the voices are excellent as always
We all know tech is bad for little ones and this points that out
A decent watch, enjoyed it!

Probably falls short of really criticising tech
I found this less engaging than the previous 4 – perhaps the bar has been moved?
