Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 Review

Now let’s face it, Jeremy Clarkson is marmite isn’t he? Plenty of people hate him, so to review season 5 of his latest (and possibly greatest) show isn’t going to be for everyone… but despite this I’m going to make a short review! I do have to start with a quick opinion though – Clarkson is NOT the star of this show despite the name. Yes he is the focus, but the stars are the other people, the animals and the the actual stupid legal and red tape that surrounds farming and Clarkson himself. Previous season have shown the local council to be pretty biased towards Clarkson, and it is wholly unacceptable if I’m honest because if the owner of the farm was someone else they’d act differently. But season 5 isn’t about that at all, it is more about growing the farm, growing his pub, something I have no wish to enter into debate about at all but most importantly health.

You do get more of the same with season 5 – but I don’t subscribe to those saying it should end now as it has run it’s course at all. Different farming issues and problems are still happening, the other characters in this season are great (watch out for Hannah, the delightfully mental in a good way song bird specialist) and Kaleb Cooper will go a long way in life. You also get to see animals, the good and bad, his pub and much more. I recommend if you haven’t already that you check out Clarkson’s Farm just because it isn’t about him at all. and with 5 seasons there is a lot to see not about the man but the others around him. Yes it won’t be for everyone, but it is still worth watching…

Clarkson's Farm Season 5

Season 5 is probably less jovial and fun, but still a great watch. Don’t be fooled Jeremy Clarkson isn’t the star of the show!

Can suffer sometimes from scripted happenings, as can a lot of these style of programmes
Story
9 out of 10
Despite being titled Clarkson's Farm this is more a series about farming, the animals and the people. For that it is to be applauded
Price

Nothing wrong with being on Prime but it means that a lot of people simply won't have access to it

Pros

Shows farming off warts n all

The other characters and animals are the stars of the show

Has a bit of everything, humour, sadness and seriousness

Cons

Mr Clarkson isn't to everybody's tastes

Can be a hard watch – animal lovers might not want to see it

If you have watched from the start it is basically more of the same.
