UK brings law into force this week to combat Grok deepfakes….

That was quick – the UK is making it illegal to make non-consensual intimate images, like those that Grok was being used to make. That pretty much means that unless things change Grok will be banned in the UK and with it probably X as well. The VPN companies will be loving this as a lot of money will be coming their way, but it also paves way for VPN usage to be monitored as well if not subject to massive changes. Not sure I like how this is going, and I can only really say it is a harsh line to take that will risk alienating the UK from many tech companies.
