Why “sharenting” is bad…

  • by

Now for a bit of context this IS a BBC report so do take it with a pinch of salt, but parents out there doing their best to share as much as they can about their kids need to be aware that Meta is a terrible company that pretty much does nothing to respect your privacy and data security, thus leaving your children at risk in the future of identity theft and fraud. AI can easily mimic the voices, make videos and/or pictures of your children after you have shared it online and it matters for nothing even if you think you have made these things private or friends only because the research shows that doesn’t make any difference. the only way you will keep your children and yourself 100% secure in the coming years is to stop sharing everything – and I already know that a lot of people are now wary about sharing things online. Of course by now pretty much everything you have shared on say Facebook has been copied thousands of times and use to train AI without you probably even knowing. I mean I have been suspended for pointing this out now for over a week – the truth hurts eh Meta!
